Jacob Marcott is a preacher in everyday America. He believes in his bible - word for word - the undeniable direct word of God. Eve Garner grew up next door to Jacob - and as he tells Ben, "I know things that you wouldn't understand." Marcott has made it his mission in life to silence Eve. The thought consumes him. John Covaleskie, a professor at Northern Michigan University, has been involved in community and college theater for 35 years. A distinguished actor who lights up the screen with his presence. |

Eve Garner was a homeless woman - ranting and raving on street corners to anyone who would listen. We have all seen them... we have all ignored them. But people began to listen to Eve and soon she began to gather a following. One man, Collin, took Eve off of the street and into his home. Thus began what would become a new religious movement centered around her ramblings. Preaching without dogma, her messages were laced with controversy. Jess Markham portrays Eve Garner, but is also a member of the "Whetstone" crew. Jessica has been involved with every aspect of production from editing the final script to assisting with wardrobe selection. |

Collin James discovered Eve on his way to work one afternoon and the result has become infamous. A former seminary student, Collin catapulted Eve from a ranting homeless woman to the leader of a religious movement. Joshua Smith plays Collin James with a subtle slyness that allows the audience to fall in love with Collin but absolutely despise him at the same moment. |

In addition to acting she does voice-over work that includes Judy Garland, and is a former Las Vegas Impersonator of Lucille Ball & Monica Lewinsky. She joins the cast of Whetstone as Rebbekah, wife of Jacob Marcotts assistant Ernie. |
